CONSTRUCTION

·       Maximise the productivity and efficiency of the <discipline i.e. Civils, SMP> team by planning, scheduling and the appropriate allocation of all resources to ensure deliverables are met;

·       Manage the quality of output produced from the <discipline i.e. Civils, SMP>teams to ensure deliverables are met to high-level of accuracy and in accordance with Project, Contractor and regulatory standards;

·       Monitor contractors’ progress; contract schedule to ensure key milestones are being achieved. Report immediately (or as described in the applicable project plan) with the Construction Manager on matters that might affect the project goals;

·       Contribute to weekly Contractor meetings and provide updates and feedback with regards to the construction deliverables;

·       Communicate with the Construction Manager and provide weekly reports, updates and feedbacks with regards to the construction to ensure productivity is inline with schedule and time constraints;

·       Assist the Construction Manager by providing input for the compilation and submission of the project progress report monthly or as required by the contract;

·       Encourage and build a positive workplace culture and team environment;

·       Advise the relevant Manager immediately of any safety or environmental, community or industrial relations incidents as per approved Company policy and procedures;

·       Ensure the safety of the construction site by conducting regular inspections and publish the findings;

·       Govern the <discipline i.e. Civils, SMP>construction team to ensure compliance to Company and Client policies, procedures and guidelines;

·       Register and file all relevant documentation in accordance to Company approved procedures.

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Ensure all legislative, regulatory and statutory obligations are met

·       Provide reports suitable for executive and board distribution

·       Conform to company policy and protocols and ensure compliance with all statutory and company obligations

·       Undertake any other responsibilities as reasonably required

POSITION HOLDER REQUIREMENTS

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS and KNOWLEDGE

·       Technical Certificate/Tertiary Education Qualification, Degree or Diploma in Construction/Engineering (desirable) or equivalent industry experience

·       Minimum 8+ years’ experience in various aspects of Supervision in the mineral processing and related industries
