DEPUTY COUNTRY MANAGER


INTRODUCTION


Leo Lithium Limited is recruiting a Deputy Country Manager for its Mali operations, in relation to the development of the Goulamina Lithium Project, in Mali, West-Africa.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION


Leo Lithium Limited owns the Goulamina Lithium Project, in Joint-Venture with Jiangxi Ganfeng Lithium Co.,Ltd. (Ganfeng).  Goulamina is one of the world’s largest undeveloped high quality spodumene deposits. In partnership with Ganfeng, Leo Lithium will bring the project into production. A 50/50 incorporated joint venture has been established, with Ganfeng contributing US$194 million in development funding, comprising US$130 million in equity funding and US$40-64 million in debt funding. All permits are in place and the Definitive Feasibility Study Update confirmed Goulamina as a long life, large scale and low-cost open pit project expected to produce 726,000 tonnes of spodumene concentrate at an average cash cost of US$312/t.


POSITION PURPOSE


The Deputy Country Manager is responsible for ensuring sound government and external relations in Mali as well as being the primary point of contact for all Leo Lithium’s interactions with the Malian Government, and other key stakeholders in Mali.

·       Provide leadership with relevant information to demonstrate LLL’s commitment to health,  safety and environment.


·       Ensure Health and safety behaviours are well understood and demonstrated in the workplace by team members.


·       Promote safety awareness amongst team members.


·       Proactively identify and manage health and safety risks.


·       Personally adhere to the Company’s health and safety standards.


·       Maintain the Bamako Office and Bougouni Residence to high health and safety standards as an example to the business being an entry point for visiting employees and meeting venue for external stakeholders.


ENVIRONMENT & COMMUNITY


·       The LLL social strategy is implemented in a planned and structure manner.


·       Environment and community management systems and processes are effectly implemented across the operations.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS


 


·       Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key Government Ministries, agencies and other key stakeholders.


·       Responsible for organising ministerial delegations to various company’s sites as required.


·       Being proactive in the showcasing of the company’s activities with key stakeholders.


·       Provide information and advice to the company’s Board and Executive team on Malian legal, political, social and industry development.


·       Obtain necessary permits and approvals needed to achieve operational and growth objectives.


·       Monitor and advise the policy changes of the Malian Government that might have an impact on the Operations and Exploration.


·       Contribute to developing the profile of the company in Mali.


EXTERNAL RELATIONS


·       Ensure the company’s profile is appropriately visible in the Malian setting.


·       Represent the company in key VIP meetings where appropriate.


·       Work closely with the Goulamina PM in providing support and advice on governance aspects.


·       Where authorized, represent the company in dissemination of news and data to relevant Malian media institutions.


OFFICE MANAGEMENT


 


·       Manage Bamako office and Bougouni residence staff.


·       Work with the Company Secretary to ensure compliance of the Company’s filing and lodgement obligations as required under Corporate statues and rules of law of the Republic of Mali.


·       Act as a facilitator; and where required, an interpreter for meetings with key stakeholders.


·       Coordinate visa’s for Corporate staff and expatriates.


·       Advise on tax and other Malian specific issues to assist the company in meeting their Australian ASX requirements.


GOVERNMENT RELATIONS


·       Strong and positive relationship is maintained with Government of Mali, and other key external stadkeholders.


·       A structured government engagement approach is implemented.


EXTERNAL RELATIONS


·       The company has a positive external profile in Mali.


·       A structured external stakeholder engagement approach is implemented.


OFFICE MANAGEMENT


·       Outstanding performance is maintained by the Bamako office an Bougouni Residence Personnel.
