Vacancy Announcement: Health and Safety Officer

Position Purpose:

As a Health and Safety Officer, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our workforce to meet and exceed our health, safety, and environmental standards. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Health and Safety Coordinator to deliver efficient and effective site safety activities and ensure compliance with project safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and execution of safety training programs, including organizing training facilities and materials.

- Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and workplace safety inspections.

- Collaborate with peers and supervisors to identify safety needs and drive cross-discipline initiatives for continuous improvement.

- Mentor and support employees and contractors to enhance their understanding and execution of safety commitments.

- Manage the administrative and operational aspects of the Health and Safety Department according to industry best practices.

Key Outcomes:

- Achieve zero harm across all operational activities.

- Foster a culture of operational discipline and continuous improvement.

- Enhance supervisory and workforce practices to meet current and future business needs.

- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulatory requirements.
