Vacancy Announcement: Instrumentation Technician

Location:  Goulamina, Mali  

Reporting to: Instrumentation & Control Supervisor

Position Purpose:

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team at the Goulamina project site. This role is crucial for ensuring the effective maintenance of all site instrumentation installations and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing installation, preventive, and breakdown maintenance activities. A strong understanding of internationally recognized instrumentation standards applicable to an industrial processing environment is essential.

Instrumentation Maintenance:

- Conduct inspections of work areas and plant equipment to identify hazards, damage, and defects.

- Interpret drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine appropriate work methods.

- Execute instrument maintenance activities as directed, including diagnosing faults, estimating time and materials, and performing repairs.

- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of tools, equipment, and work areas.

- Participate in shift rotations, including night shifts, as required.

- Train other personnel or apprentices as needed.

Position Requirements:

- Certificate in electrical/instrumentation trade qualification or equivalent, with current validity.

- Specialized training in maintenance and calibration of equipment such as valves, actuators, instruments, low voltage networks, PLCs, and fiber optics.

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial processing environment.

- Proficiency in computer skills is essential.

- Experience with HMI and PLC programming is an advantage.

- Strong electrical aptitude and fault diagnosis experience are necessary.
