Position: Management Accounting Superintendent

Location: Goulamina, Mali

Reporting Relationship: Financial Controller

Our company, Lithium Du Mali, is seeking a qualified and experienced Management Accounting Superintendent to join our team in Goulamina, Mali. The Management Accounting Superintendent will play a crucial role in assisting the Financial Controller in managing and coordinating our financial planning, budgeting, and cost reporting processes. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

Compile monthly management accounting reports and provide insights on key financial metrics.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.

Monitor actuals against budgets and analyze cost variances.

Review monthly trial balance and ensure accurate coding of general ledger account transactions.

Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and track capital expenditure.

Prepare analysis schedules for fixed assets, capital expenditure, working capital, and operating cost variances.

Generate operational reports for production, sales, and stockpiles.

Track and record quantity accounts, including production physicals, headcount, and sales.

Assist with inventory valuations, impairments, and stripping cost capitalizations.

Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish operational and capital budgets.

Participate in continuous improvement projects and train and coach the site Project Cost Accountant.

Perform data migration from Sage to Pronto ERP system.

Ensure compliance with Malian Tax Laws, OHADA, IFRS, and other statutory requirements.

Assist with audit inquiries and special investigations.

Monitor and ensure adherence to SOX compliance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

Post-graduate qualification is advantageous.

Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, with significant experience in the mining industry.

Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in financial planning, budgeting, and cost control.

Malian citizenship and fluency in French and English.
