Job Title: Payroll Officer
Direct supervisor: Finance Manager
OBJECTIVE:
The Payroll Officer is responsible for the administration and processing of LMSA’s payroll and all associated tasks.

· Proactively identify and manage health and safety risks
· Personally adhere to all health and safety standards
PAYROLL
· Coordinating the timely payment of salary and wages for all LMSA personnel
· Responding to pay enquiries
· Maintaining employee records
· Providing reports to relevant stakeholders as required
· Other associated payroll functions including but not limited to payroll tax and leave processing etc
CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure all legislative, regulatory and statutory obligations are met
· Provide reports suitable for executive and board distribution
· Conform to company policy and protocols and ensure compliance with all statutory and company obligations
· Undertake any other responsibilities as reasonably required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Job Classification: According to the Collective Agreement of Companies and Enterprises
Geological and Hydrogeological Mining in the Republic of Mali in force
Duty Station: Bamako then subsequently based on mine site
Date of entry into service: As soon as possible following the end of the publication of this vacancy announcement
Nature of the contract: Open ended contract
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Have at least Bac+2 in Finance or equivalent.
Have a professional experience of at least three (3) years in processing Payroll, especially in the mining sector.
KEY COMPETENCIES :
Extensive payroll experience specifically dealing with medium sized yet complex pay runs
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and payroll systems (preferably Pronto)
Great customer service skills to provide first class experience for team members and stakeholders across all levels of the business
High level of attention to detail and proven ability to work to deadlines as required
Self-motivated
Thrives in a busy work environment
Strong communication and document expediting skills
Excellent organization skills
Acute eye for detail
