Job Title: Processing Manager

Direct supervisor: General Manager

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Processing Manager is responsible for effectively managing all aspects of the continuous production of Lithium concentrate onsite. In particular, ensuring the processing department safely achieves planned production levels at optimum cost while meeting agreed quality and recovery benchmarks.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the processing team to ensure the safe and efficient operations of processing plant, including TSF and water management.

Direct supervision of production/metallurgical supervisors and superintendents

Ensuring plant production volume, cost, recovery, and quality are on budget and reconciled monthly.

Provide technical input into the development/acquisition of new plant or processes.

Deliver capital improvement projects.

Work with engineering team to maintain the physical upkeep of the plant and associated infrastructure.

Monitor the skills and performance of processing personnel and provide advice, training and direction.

Drive, implement and ensure compliance to Safety and Systems

Contribute to continuous improvement activities associated with the planning and performance to ensure the smooth operation of the processing facility.

Build effective professional working relationships with all stakeholders, including suppliers and customers.

Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus for the plant.

Annual preparation, optimisation, and ongoing management of the Processing Plant budget

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Job Classification: According to the Collective Agreement of Companies and Enterprises

Geological and Hydrogeological Mining in the Republic of Mali

Duty Station:  Goulamina  

Date of entry into service: As soon as possible

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Significant experience managing metals processing.

15 + years Production experience at a manager or superintendent level

Tertiary graduates in metallurgy, chemical or mechanical/processing engineering, or related discipline

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Effective written and presentation skills

A competent user of industry software (Pronto highly regarded)
