Leo Lithium is a lithium company developing the world class Goulamina Lithium Project in Mali. Located approximately 150km south of the country’s capital of Bamako, the Goulamina Lithium Project is one of the largest undeveloped hard rock lithium deposits globally. About the role:
The Training Superintendent is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the Training Management System and its associated requirements for LMSA employees and ensuring all employees and contractors have the appropriate skills for their position and are compliant with any relevant regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Implement, manage, and continuously improve systems for the management of training for the organisation, ensuring all business and legislative requirements are met
- Audit regularly the Training and Assessment system to ensure compliance and continuous improvement, as required
- Ensuring that quality Competency Based systems and procedures are always implemented and followed
- Ensure all Trainers and Assessors are qualified to the International Standards
- Ensure all Training and Assessment documentation is document controlled as per LMSA and Leo Lithium standards
- Ensure all employees training records are filed correctly and input into the LMS system
- Responsible for the development of Training Needs Analysis/Role to competency
- Retain the final copy of the Training Needs Analysis/Role to competency for reference and review
- Liaise with the Managers/Supervisors in regard to their training requirements
- Ensure training files are established for new employees
- Develop and maintain departmental training plans
- All training/assessment competency or awareness programs shall be approved by the person responsible for training or delegate prior to use
- Ensure evaluations of the effectiveness of training programs are conducted
- Initiate, develop and maintain relationships with external training bodies and regulators to ensure training provided onsite is consistent with and recognised by all Malian stakeholders
- Manage relationships with site Heads of Departments and implement a communications calendar or schedule to ensure customer departments are always up to speed regarding training activities and progress in their teams
To be a successful candidate, you will have:
- Tertiary Training Qualification (desirable)
- Certificate IV Workplace Trainer and Assessor or equivalent
- Project management Qualification / Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in Mining operations or heavy industry
- 10+ years’ experience in Management of Training and Development
- Advanced PC skills and computer literacy
- Lead Auditor’s Certificate (desirable)
- Ability to lead and develop a small group of Training Professionals
- Ability to develop influential relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external)
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Must have managed an Electronic Training Management System in the past and have experience conducting audits of the same
- Experience using InTuition (preferred) as a Super Administrator
- Experience setting up a LMS system from scratch is beneficial
- Must be a solid trainer and hold a relevant training qualification
- Experience in developing a training budget and ensuring compliance of training material
