Are you a talented bilingual translator with a passion for training others? Join the team at LITHIUM DU MALI S.A., a leading mining company committed to sustainable development, as our new Translator & Trainer (French and English) at the Goulamina Lithium Project Site.

We are looking for a talented professional with a passion for languages and a proven track record in translation and training.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for translating texts and audio recordings from one language to another and providing language training to our employees.

Responsibilities as Translator:

Convert texts and audio recordings from one language to another.

Ensure that the translated content retains the original meaning and tone.

Read given content and research industry-specific terminology.

Provide subtitles for videos and online presentations as needed.

Use various translation tools to ensure quality of the translation.

Proofread translated texts for accuracy in grammar, spelling and punctuation.

Follow up with internal team members to ensure the translation meets their expectations.

Edit content, ensuring that the original format (e.g., font and structure) is maintained.

Network with industry experts to keep abreast of the latest translation tools and practices.

Responsibilities as Trainer:

Liaise with management to determine English and French language training needs and schedule training sessions.

Design effective training programs.

Select and book venues.

Facilitate seminars, workshops, individual training sessions, etc.

Prepare training materials such as module summaries, videos, etc.

Support and mentor new recruits.

Maintain attendance and other records.

Carry out evaluations to identify areas for improvement.

Monitor employee performance and response to training.

To succeed in this role, you should have a degree in translation, interpreting or a related field, with additional linguistic certification being an advantage. You should also have proven experience as a corporate trainer, with a good understanding of effective training methods and tools. Proficiency in MS Office (especially PowerPoint) and knowledge of e-learning software will also be an advantage.

In addition to your hard skills, you should possess excellent communication, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to listen and adapt. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills, be a critical thinker, a problem solver, and a team player.
