About us
We are building the next large scale global lithium hard rock project in southern Mali and developing a world class Goulamina project. Goulamina is a one of three hard rock projects of scale globally with 100% spodumene concentrate offtake currently available and will be West Africa’s first lithium mine. It will come online in 2024 to supply the booming lithium-ion battery industry.

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for supply, logistics, warehousing and distribution coordination, creation, review and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures, forecasting and planning, supplier management and leadership of the Supply and Stores teams.
Reporting to the COO until General Manager – Site is appointed, you will be responsible for the following:

WAREHOUSE AND LOGISTICS
· Coordinate functionality of the GLP supply and stores and optimise space and labour productivity
· Coordinate with construction and operations teams with respect to the introduction of new products or any major projects that affect the warehouse
· Lead and manage the Supply and Stores teams, ensuring strong communication of roles, responsibilities, and facilitating career development
· Monitor Supplier workloads and performance to support recommendations to the management team on allocation of work
· Establish, maintain, and grow a supply chain of suppliers, consultants and contractors across Mali, Australia, Europe and ECOWAS to meet the business needs
· Managing relationships with consultants and contractors, ensuring their contractual terms of engagement are met
· Analyse risks and opportunities of suppliers and make recommendations to the General Manager - Site
· Prepare Supplier and Consultant agreements
· Ensure Supplier Health and Safety Compliance is being met
· Actively gain feedback on the Suppliers performance from all stakeholders
· Manage time deliverables to set KPIs
· Develop effective and collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders
· Lead a team of employees and sets an example for others to follow with the ability to supervise and provide direction and guidance to other employees
· Understands and is ultimately responsible for the functional areas within the warehouse e.g., receiving, cycle counting, dispatch, pick and pack
· Assist with development and refinement of a warehouse layout including proper location of goods
· Exercises skills attained through the successful completion of an appropriate warehousing qualification
· Liaising with management, suppliers, and customers with respect to warehouse operations
· Maintaining and preparing regular monthly productivity, KPI, EHS and Development reports
· Lead toolbox meetings while providing on-the-job training and career development to all team members
· Prioritize day to day workload and allocate resources to achieve operational KPI’s and promote workday efficiencies
· Recognizes and is responsible for quality control standards
· Undertake project work within the warehouse and Succession planning
CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure all legislative, regulatory and statutory obligations are met
· Provide reports suitable for executive and board distribution
· Conform to company policy and protocols and ensure compliance with all statutory and company obligations
· Actively participate in the design and implementation of the preferred ERP solution for site
· Undertake any other responsibilities as reasonably required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Job Classification: According to the Collective Agreement of Companies and Enterprises
Geological and Hydrogeological Mining in the Republic of Mali in force
Duty Station: Goulamina
Date of entry into service: As soon as possible following the end of the publication of this vacancy announcement
Nature of the contract: CDI aka open-ended contract
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Have at least a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management, Materials Management or equivalent level of learning through job experience
Have at least 7 + years’ experience in warehousing and logistics experience from a mining or construction environment
KEY COMPETENCIES :
A Bachelor's Degree in Logistics Management, Materials Management or equivalent level of learning through job experience
Strong warehousing and logistics experience from a mining or construction environment
Excellent negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills
Excellent French 7 English communication skills both written and verbal
Proficient and have a sound knowledge in ERPs and MS Office applications as well the ability to quickly learn the ERP system
A sound understanding of business processes and highly developed customer relations skills including time management and organizational skills
Leadership capabilities & high-level of initiative, drive, and determination you can perform unsupervised whilst achieving effective results and goals
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and motivate staff
Car licence is essential
Keen analytical skills and attention to detail
